Kaskaskia College will be offering a CNA (certified nurse assistant) class in the fall at the KC Trenton Center through the College Now program.  The class would meet from 8:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m.  Students would start their day at the Trenton Center and attend classes afterwards at Wesclin. Students must be in good academic standing and be able to provide their own transportation.  See Mrs. Fisher for more information.  


Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams! They did great at the Greenville Invite yesterday! The girls quartet of Elise Johnson, Kavali Tanuvasa-Lole, Kristina Hilmes, and Faith Wyman won the 4x1 and broke the meet record. Kristina placed first in both hurdle races, Faith won the 200m and placed 2nd in the 100, Elise Johnson won the triple jump and placed 2nd in the long jump.  Other medalists were Kavali in the 100, Abby Finn in the triple jump and Shelby Weihe in the pole vault


On the boys side Jacob Brown won the shot and medaled in the disc.  Other medalists were Hunter Doverspike in the disc with a huge PR, Jaime Kattenbraker in the pole vault, Joey Jacober in the high jump, Orion Partington and Jason Kattenbraker in the 200 dash, and the group of Jason, Orion, Conner Garsnett, and Logan Middleton in the 4x2!


SENIOR VIDEO REMINDERS: Each senior must submit 2 school appropriate photos of any age of themselves or group photos for senior video shown at graduation. Thank you!


CARDINALS DAY THURSDAY – Deck out in your Cardinals gear this Thursday for the home opener. Cardinals hats ONLY are allowed.


Student Council Elections: Any student wanting to run for Student Council for the 2019-20 school year should pick a packet from Mrs. Kunz. Completed forms are due by Tuesday, April 16th at 2:30pm.


Spanish Club, if you want to go on the field trip to Cherokee street, check the Spanish Club Google Classroom to reserve a spot.


AFTER PROM PARTY: Today is the last day to purchase tickets and still get a t-shirt. Final Deadline to sign up (no t-shirt) is April 10.


SHOE DRIVE: Don’t forget to bring in your gently used shoes for the Shoe Drive!



The Cement Masons Local No. 90 and Southern Illinois Builders Association Joint Apprenticeship Committee will be accepting applications from 8-noon April 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, and 11 at the Local No. 90 office at 820 Lions Drive, Troy, IL.  Applicants must be 18 years of age and have a GED or high school diploma.  For more information call 618-667-2562.
